Drama series ”Unmet: A Neurosurgeon’s Diary” has received Grand Prix in the Television Drama Program category of the JBA Awards. This marks the third consecutive year a Kansai TV drama has won the Grand Prix in this category, following “Elpis” and “When Spring Comes”.
“Honami Maeda: A Life of Running”, a documentary following Japanese marathon record holder Honami Maeda over eight years, was awarded TV/Screen Winner in the Sport category of the ABU Prizes 2025. The award ceremony took place in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on September 14th.
“The indigo: Color Created by BUAISOU” has been awarded Silver Tower in the Documentary-The Arts category of the 2025 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards. This program follows BUAISOU, an indigo-dyeing group which is challenging the conventions of tradition using unconstrained creativity while maintaining meticulous craftsmanship.

Kansai TV’s new drama series "Elpis" starring Masami Nagasawa, has been selected for the Asian World Premiere TV Screening at MIPCOM in Cannes, France which starts from October 17. It will be the first time in the 60 year history of MIP Market that a Japanese drama makes its world premiere in the main hall. The drama series will air in Japan from October 24.
