Kumiko has wanted to become a copywriter since she started working at an advertising agency ten years ago, but after all this time she's still stuck in the sales department. Fed up with her dull, mediocre existence, with zero romantic prospects, Kumiko is on the verge of losing all hope for her life and giving up on her dreams.
But then her uncle, Koji, dies. Kumiko's only surviving relative, he raised her after her mother died in a car crash. Koji was a free spirit who pulled her from the brink of despair right at the moment she became completely alone in the world. But Kumiko is so busy with work that she leaves the funeral planning to Koji's coworkers. When she rushes to the funeral hall, she's shocked to find a group of handsome men in front of the casket toasting her uncle with a boisterous champagne call, the staple performance of Shinjuku's host clubs.
To the dumbstruck Kumiko, the other guests explain that her uncle hadn't run just an average restaurant – he ran a host club. Not only that, but he had written in his will that Kumiko was to inherit it!
So Kumiko is suddenly thrown into the world of the club and its free-spirited and big-hearted hosts. It makes Kumiko realize that, without knowing it, she'd restricted herself for years, bound by her own prejudice and sensible but boring routines. Kumiko had long ago given up on love – and her own life. Can she learn how to finally face herself and become the owner of not just a club, but her own happiness?
